Beach Sprint Coastal Rowing, a dynamic discipline combining running on the sand and rowing at sea with spectacular finishes on the shore, will take centre stage at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
In Lignano Pineta, the Barcolana Beach Sprint offers a preview of the adrenaline-fuelled excitement of a challenge that combines spectacle, sport and passion. Athletes aged 16 and over, as well as ‘masters’ of all ages, from across Italy and neighbouring countries, will compete for a place on the podium in an event that already has an Olympic feel to it, whilst keeping the Barcolana spirit alive: celebrating the sea, competition and the sharing of boundless emotions.
